Drm-free to Steam save transfer question.
I'm wondering: Does the save I have on the drm-free version from the Humble Bundle transfer to the Steam version automatically, or do I need to move it manually, or is it impossible to move? I'm pretty far into the game and it wouldn't be the greatest thing for me if I have to start over with the Steam version. Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't, but you can try this out yourself quickly enough if you have it in your library :)

If the save doesn't transfer, then there's no real way to get your save game over, unfortunately - they use pretty different file-formats (one saves files in the steam cloud, the other uses the system registry).

So, yeah, not perfect. Sorry if this causes you inconvenience.

Peace,

This is probably too late, and I don't know where the drm-free save is located, but it might help in the future (along with some other steam cloud games, since they do save stuff locally). This is at least where the steam save is.

Go to Steam/userdata/[yoursteamid#]/207570
In there is a folder called remote and in that is where the save.txt goes.

Although there's also a remotecache.vdf file in the 207570. I don't know how important that is, but I think that's a steam thing anyway?
