I want to enjoy this game, graphics are gorgeous and I like a good survival game. I started up my Xbox controller since it claims full support, and found that the start menu requires mouse and keyboard. The tutorial only gives mouse and keyboard cues. The settings menu is only accessed with mouse and keyboard. I will try this game again sometime down the road, unfortunately I've recently had surgery and mouse and keyboard gaming is very uncomfortable for longer than 15 minutes at a time.

I was actually pretty surprised by this, a lot of the reviews are saying its very similar to Stranded Deep and they aren't wrong, its obvious there was a lot of inspiration from it, but it also has its own quirks, the dragging items onto workbenches for crafting is very well done for example. It also feels more streamlined than Stranded Deep, everything felt fluid and natural.

The graphics are a huge improvement which is saying a lot when you consider Stranded Deep was always a pretty game, this is better and looks more modern.

Content wise, I could probably get another 10 more hours out of it, so roughly 25 hours of content is you like taking things steady, the islands are well done and interesting to explore but it does need more content and story (which is currently in the works). I didn't explore all the islands not even close) but I did make most of whats available except the clay house and solar power things. Neither would have added any extra function anyways.

Overall, good game, would recommend, if the dev keeps adding content and ensures the gameplay has purpose then this will turn into what Stranded Deep should have been.
