Is this game dangerous for your computer?

I really want to get into this game. However, I'm very paranoid about if this game will harm my computer. I've seen reports of peoples graphic drivers being messed with and monitors shutting off permanently. I like my laptop a lot and would be very upset if this game had bricked it.
I also heard at some points Kinito will replace my desktop background completely, and mess with files. Do these revert back if i close the game? Could my files corrupt because of this? [ /spoiler]

no nothing major happens besides it turns off your desktop icons/shortcuts. which is incredibly easy to fix.

The game has a lot of silly little "intrusive" events but none of them are ever damaging.

i played it on my laptop yesterday and after i finished everything was 100% fine :-)

KinitoPet DOES mess with your desktop background, but not any files, do not worry.
Your wallpaper will revert back every time the game is closed. IF your desktop icons are hidden, right click the desktop, click view, and show desktop icons.

The most that happened to me is 1) The game crashes itself occasionally 2) small graphic issue which is known and has a temp workaround for it 3) my desktop shortcuts were hidden. Which the above works. The game will pretend it's messing with your files, it doesn't actually mess with anything. If you stream the game 100% enable streamer/streaming mode in the settings.

I mean? Its not intentional to leave any damage to the system if thats the question.

It should allways revert everything. AT MOST it might make your desktop icons invisible (just make em visible again)

There are lots of crash handling things to prevent desktop backgruonds not being reverted and stuff. - if the game dose crash and leaves it in a strange state just open the game and it will realise something is wrong and fix everything before closing again!

No it is not ruin your computer, a lot of people say that but they most likely haven't played the game (i have not but i know it doesn't do this) it just isn't true that it does

Steam games can't actually install malware or do anything bad to your computer, don't worry 🙂
