If you are still playing in the first 4 worlds, it shouldn't be hard.
Having said that, despite being an "experienced" platformer, I did find myself stuck on 2 or 3 levels. Continuously died and the message to skip came up multiple times in these stages. Probably bad luck or borne out of frustration that.
I'd have called you a liar, but your Steam achievements do show that you're very, very good at SMB.
It seems ridiculous you can be good at that but not at this...very weird.
It's a nice change of pace after playing Super Meat Boy
I actually found some levels in this to be much harder then anything in Super Meat Boy, as the timing was much easier to master imho in Super Meat Boy. It has been a while since I played Super Meet Boy and I mainly played Rayman on the Vita so that could account for the difference.
Yes, on a round 3 or 4 levels I found it much, much tougher than the rest of the game. One of them is Mecha No Mistake.
But I'm not sure if it was due to sheer frustration/unluckiness or it actually being difficult.
