I like how know has really answered the OP's question about this. Mostly everyone is saying, I see nothing wrong with this, why are you worried about it so much, or just giving some other excuse or reason for this blatant sexual fanservice. How does Betilla the Fairy start out as a limbless creature like Rayman in the first PS game to a full-bodied(and ample) lady with 25% clothing in Origins? It's weird. That's all there is to it. It has nothing to do with what species they are or why they look that way. This is just in here for the sexy. This game doesn't need it. It's too amazing to need something like this, but here it is and its just unnecessary.

Esrb clearly states "Suggestive Themes". And this game IS rated E10. And if you think this is bad for an E10 game, you should hear some of the jokes/puns they throw at you in the first few levels of Rayman 3.

Having meaningful and smart discussions about female and male character design in gaming is really hard. It's really sad how hard it is to have a good conversation about this. Oh well. The fairies sexy designs make no sense in this cartoony looking, but extremely-tough-to-complete awesome videogame anyway. <--My opinion, not fact.

I'm with the OP about it, I let to play the game a 4 yo kid in my family, and was worried a bit when the half naked nymph appeaded. Like: wth? Did I miss something about this game? Fortunately it didn't go too far.

It makes no sense why this is in the game. I hope that 4 yr old didn't get weirded out by the game because of that. It's still a really good challenging game.

Lmao to state that a woman can only be perceived as beautiful if she has half her breasts hanging out and 50% or more of her skin showing is what really gets me about you people. Men are shown to be great characters in all kinds of ways, even if they're not musclebound and in fact, the more muscles a guy has, the more he's shown to be an oaf. Not a "sexualized ideal male" Rayman doesn't have any arms, has a round body, hands, feet and a head. There is nothing there to be sexualized, the other races are creatures, the only humanoids are the fairies with really sexy bodies.

ADULT males perceive women to be "beautiful and desirable" only if they have amplified sex appeal. Children not knowing better at the moment but taking it all in subconsciously should be taught that sex appeal should never be a good indicator of someone's "beauty"

A lot of us, myself included grew up playing rayman and he was our hero, some kids had Mario, Link, Crash, I had Rayman, to see him just be perverted for the sake of it is insulting.

The world of Rayman has so many beautiful, charming and fantastical creatures, I adore the Teensies, why do the fairies have to be stereotypical big breasted bimbos? The game world, nor the devs respect the Nymphs so why should any of the players?

And Rayman was a kids game, probably not now though I believe the devs have the mindset that that Rayman audience grew up and so should the games.
