BEWARE if you are considering buying this game for PC.

Many people have been reporting a horrible bug to Ubisoft for a long time now. At random times your saved game data can get corrupted and Rayman gets stuck in the map screen. Your only option is to start a new game. Only to have your new saved game data get corrupted as well. This happened to me at least twice. I've never had any other game or app on this PC have corrupted save issues... yet when I contacted Ubisoft's "support" center, they tried to brush it off as though their save curruption bug is some how the fault of myself and everyone else falling victim to it. They seem to have no intention to fix the bug or to offer refunds to those of us with an UNPLAYABLE game.

What a shame because the game itself is a masterpeice. Brilliant gameplay, visuals, music etc etc. I love the game itself, but the PC port is dangerously broken and i'm extremely angry with Ubisoft for not having the integrity to stand behind their product.

This just happened to me. Does anyone have a working save at the start of world 3?

I got past the digirdoo desert, got the second tooth shard thing and now I can't move on the map screen. Was really enjoying the game, too. Bummer.

You'd think having known about this bug and NOT fixing it for so long, Ubi themselves would have the courtesy to host a series of non-destroyed saved states. Maybe the problem is they CAN'T make them due to the bug...or maybe it would be like admitting they are ripping people off with broken software, instead of shrugging it off and pretending its our fault their game has a bug, (which is what they tried with me.) very very dissapointed.

The game, though on steam, doesnt off updates? I bought it recently, and so have many others who are still having the same issue. It's obviously not happening on all PC's, which is a pitfall for PC developers...as everyone has a slightly different combination of hardware, OS, etc... The point is its been a known bug for a long time, and a bug that causes people to lose their progress is not acceptible for a product you are charging money for...and no other games I've ever played have such a horrible bug. They CAN fix it, they just don't wan to spend the money it would take to do whats right.

I've just been hit by this bug. I've been trying to apply a patch but because Steam hides it's games, I can't. The patch doesn't see that Rayman Origins is installed. This is ridiculous. I LOVE this game but it is incredibly buggy. I wish I had know about this before I bought the game. I probably would have bought it anyway though.

I turned off my antivirus (Microsoft Security Essentials) and haven't had any more save corruption.

Please, everytone in this thread, contact Ubi support and tell them like I did, We should be ANGRU, they are clearly ignoring the issue and will continue to do so until it ecomes less "expensive" for them to fix it than to ignore us. I can't believe their lack of integrity and customer support. We are why they all have freaking jobs! I'll not be buying another UBI product again until they show some integrity and fix this issue. Dissabeling antivirus is really not an option..putting my computer at risk to MAYBE not get hit with this bug again, after hours of playing? No thanks.

May I ask you guys what version number you have? Its on the bottom of the title screen. I have yet to have any problems, and ive logged at least 7 hours into it now. My version number is 1.0.32504

That's what version mine is (1.0.32504) and after the first loss I made it all the way past the four kings and then the save effed up again and I couldn't move on the map. I've been backing up the saves after each "world" so I don't have to restart at the beginning.

I'd advise everyone else to do the same. Happens at random and when you least expect it.
