Rayman Origins

This game needs online co-op mods.
So I heard this game wouldn't have online co-op before it was released and basically lost all my interest in it, so then I figured "Well, the internet is full of nerds, someone will probably have a mod within the week." Nope, that never happened and I have no idea why not. It's impossible to play local on a PC and I find local co-op extremely undesirable anyway. (Most of my friends don't live around me anyway, they're scattered all over the country or across the sea, so playing with people I don't hate / wouldn't throw off the second story the first time they ♥♥♥♥ed up my jump is not possible.) If this were a Sonic game, a mod would have been made on the release date, but I guess the Rayman fandom isn't as technologically inclined.

Who else thinks there should be some form of online? I personally will not buy this until there is, the whole reason I wanted it to begin with was to play it with my friend in Callifornia, all the way across the country from me. Does anyone else think that / is tired of not having online an option for literally no substantial reason? (Besides Ubisoft being completely incompetent when it comes to online services, I mean. >_>)

Adding online coop would be a nice feature. But this is nothing wrong with local coop. I had lots of fun with my girl friend on this game. The sad thing is not that this game doesn't support online coop, but ubisoft doesn't release the rayman legends on PC...

The console version doesn't have online co-op too. Probably the game wasn't made with online co-op in mind. And it'll be probably really hard to put online co-op through mods because there will be a lot of problems like latency and hosting.

I'd imagine there is nothing wrong with it if it is possible for you. Not everyone has/wants friends IRL, and the advent of online gaming has made it much more convenient to game with people of similar interest.

I think both should be an option and if one is implemented, the other should be mandatory to accommodate all kinds of people.

How does one do co-op on pc? do you have to share the same monitor and use console controls? Is it possible to do Lan with this game?

No, it's not. Ubisoft neglects to comprehend PC gaming and console gaming have differences.

You have multiple USB ports. I played this game with one of my friends and my brother and we all used different controllers on the same monitor.

Either your monitor is very big or you have lots of desk space. I can't imagine it being comfortable cramming around a desk like that.

why assume the pc is plugged into a small monitor and not a large hd display? why assume the pc is sitting at a desk and not in an entertainment center?
i don't think i've seen even a pre-built pc without an hdmi-out in years...

Seems excessive to me, but whatever.

no they will most likely release rayman legends on PC but at a later date than on consoles. rayman origin was released on PC after consoles

co-op in general is useless if you don't have anyone to play it with.

I need a coop online mod for sure. I don't understand why developpers thought it was dispensable
Worst idea eva on this days, this makes it a no buy for me. I´m trully glad Ubi decide to drop the U-Play DRM on this one, and lately I think Ubisoft is kind of making it up for their mistakes of last yeats with things like the soon to come Flashback remake or Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, great ideas allways fix my ideas of a developer. But losing the oportunity to add the online co-op option seems foolish especially for PC users. I can play local Co-op on console without a problem since I can take my console anywhere, but not going to move my PC from it´s spot until I get a new one, and like most steam users today I play online, I barelly had gamers friend that lives near me, less than are willing to come to my place just to sit in front of my computer to play.

C´mon Ubi, add online co-op feature via the steam servers. I guarantee you a massive increase in sales.
I agree with you. I hope I could get the online co-op mode on the Rayman Legends.
