Transfer Save file from PC version to Mac?

I had started playing throught eh game on my BootCamp partition, but now that the Mac version is available, I'd like to play on the Mac instead. So I located my save file on the PC version and copied it into the appropriate folder on my Mac, but when I try to load that save slot in the game now, it says that the save file is damaged and cannot be loaded. The file still works just fine on my BootCamp partition though. Any idea why this would be happening?

In a different thread a rep stated that the Mac and Windows versions use incompatible save files. A bummer indeed, but still great for us cross platformers to get a copy of both games for one price.

It's due to how the save games are stored on the PC added to this the PC didn't use cloud saving making this feature less useful. Whenever possible we do support cross platform saving like with XCOM or Batman Arkham City.
