What happened to my save file?

I played for a good 10 hours, and got all the collectables on every level, up to like the last world. I then, uninstalled the game because I hadnt played it for a couple weeks and I needed the space for something else.

I've come back now, and my save file is gone. Wth happened? Is there any way to get it back??

Ubisoft never bothered to enable Steam Cloud for this game (and many of their other games). If you delete the game or switch PCs, you lose the save file.
Even games with Ubisoft cloud sync like Rayman Legends don't work properly.

I believe I did download and play it on another pc, hopefully my progress is still there :/

Your save file is located in User/Documents/My Games/Rayman Origins. This folder will not be deleted if you uninstall Rayman Origins, This game doesn’t have Steam Cloud support

No, if you don't have a backup of it.

If you still have access to the PC where you played the game originally and didn't reset it, it should still be there if what Creeper of Doom said it true.

I did check the files on the computer i originally played it on, and there is a "Savegame" file, however it is empty. Havent reset my pc or anything too.
