That's odd, I don't think there have been any updates and last I tried on my OLED and the OG all three Exceed games were working, I think even on the latest experimental.

It may help to clear the cache by removing the downloaded Proton version and retry with it, and to be sure you go into the settings to set the Proton version

Ah yes this is true, you have to set the control scheme otherwise there's no recognized inputs! Glad it's working!
