How do i get the halloween pumpkin hat?

i've gotten the ghost hat but i cant figure out how to get the pumpkin hat

You need to drop one of the pumpkins on the floor so it can "shatter". It'll just make several smaller pumpkins with the hat nearby. I did it with the one on top of the cabinet between the microwave and the window, but I think any pumpkin will work
