Then don't use the canisters if you can't land them for it to count? Flame barrels and toxic gas canisters work great for this.
You can also just yet flower pots/generic areana stuff at people.

Easy, did 5-7 hits during 1 power shift game with light. Just use red cannister

just use the barrels in power shift. its easy. and relax you have like 2 months. do it passively overtime.

just keep tossing the red barrels you'll get it faster then you think.
always carry one around with you and use it to start fights

Some dude in Power Shift ran up to me and I eventually got the hint he wanted to run off to just spam this objective to completion lmao Kinda wholesome. We just grabbed random objects, planters, canisters, pedestals, etc. and spammed them against each other.

I was close to completing at the time anyway, but it helps to use canisters in Power Shift, when (or if) enemy team is concentrated on the platform.

play power shift and look for the orange barrels or big objects like plant pots (orange barrels are great because theyre big and you can keep throwing the same one), run to the platform and just keep pelting people, should be done in about 4 or 5 games

It does count if you directly hit opponent with lets say red barrel, but it doesnt count if you hit the wall and the blow effect dmg the opponent.
If you good at the game you can complete this challenge in one power shift game, for anyone else it would take few more runs. Light class with the hook makes this challenge very easy since you can make sudden attacks, the only challenge here is to find spawn with arena carriables. Flower pots suits the best for the task.

It just takes time. Just because it's a slow challenge doesn't make it bad.
Not every challenge is designed to be completed in 1 match.
