I wonder what is dev response on EAC remote exploit?
If people dont know, Apex pro players were having cheats injected while in a tournament. The immediate response from EAC was that the Apex engine MIGHT be at fault, BUT nothing is confirmed. So no one knows what happend.

Easy Anti Cheat may have a vulnerability that makes it exploitable to run a script through it on the client's pc, anything you can think of.

Untill this is solved I will put this game down just to be sure, but I would love a response from the devs, like this is REALLY BAD.

I really really hope the devs don’t read any Steam discussions, I’m here for 24hours and I’m already sick, ppl just cry about everything. Peace out, I go and enjoy this fun Game

My man, if EAC can run backdoor exploits with easy its not about the game anymore, its not about crying as much as letting people know that easy anticheat presumably was able to run exploits on a clients pc.

Most of the people have all their passwords saved in a password manager, some people might have card data stored on their browser for autocomplete, all that data can be nicked with ease through something like this, just by playing the game, and you will never know.

Look it up if you think this is not a legit concern and its copium.

The game is great, i have no other thing to say about it, i really like it, but eac issue is for me at least dangerous stuff, i do have stuff that are valuable on my station.

these kind of situations i guess you need 2 pcs or laptops , one for gaming, and the other for important things dealing with sensitive data , sigh

You already got a response from Epic about EAC. What do you expect Embark, a completely unrelated party, to say about the subject ?

Epic would be suicidal to claim it wasn't them if they weren't sure it wasn't them. No one in cybersecurity messes with vulnerabilities like that. It would be insanely destructive PR for them to come out and deny the vulnerability with nothing to win from doing so.

The Source engine isn't exactly known for its security, it has had a few RCEs in the past, on top of Epic issuing a statement, this is most likely not a EAC issue at this point, but something in Apex's game client and/or server software.
