I played open beta and season 1 a bit but after a while the meta got bored and friends start to drop the game too but i saw season 2 trailer it looks good... (i actually enjoyed this game a lot).so hows the game state now ?

I'd say yes it's worth coming back, the dev team are changing a lot of good things I think needed to be changed including recon senses, and seem to be moving towards an approach to the game where there IS no META, which is good for the game in the long term. If people are encouraged to try new playstyles instead of doing the same loadout over and over again, more people will play consistently and I think that's a good thing.

the 5 v 5 is really fun

if you have friends then yes, without friends it's frustrating to play against 3 mediums when your team have 2 lights with sniper rifles or knives

Played for an hour and would say this season 2 is a step in the right direction. Not awesome but not bad just mid. The 5v5 is really nice IMO, gives room for way more balanced roles(sniper, healer)

It can still be a blast if youre not taking it seriously at all. The meta is so campy and obnoxious that being at all competitive will make this game very unfun for you(unless campy is your play style then go for it)

5v5 should be main tournament mode. have 16 teams of 5. then do preliminary, quarters, semis, and finals. all 5v5 team vs team. The third partying in this game is ridiculous.
