nah its just another fps with ♥♥♥♥ tier audio. There is supposed to be a stealth decloack sound that I don't hear when a guy decloaks in my face with the shotgun. Footsteps 2 feet away from me when I'm 60m from the fighting and they don't play.
I can even hear when someones running around cloaked, it makes that weird electrical Buzzing sound.
You know the same one you hear when you cloak and run around?
I think the main problem is alot of players like to play the game with music and or stereo, ignoring audio in the first place OR their audio is just screwed up badly.
There is no real way to balance the audio perfectly for everyone since everyones audio settings, audio equipment and software is different and not standardized.
This game has the same problem Apex has: footsteps infinitely far above or below you sound like they're right next to you, even with headphones. Geometric 3d audio is a complete must nowadays.
On the point where it isn’t like Apex, 3D spatial audio could use improvement. I hear people, but I have trouble determining how far away they are.
You can perfectly hear enemies in 3d surround sound. You can clearly distinguish enemies from allies, as Ally footsteps are muffled and enemies exaturated.
The 3D Sound actually works. You can hear if an enemy is above or below you.
You can hear if an enemy is inside a building or outside based on the reverb.
Every character has different footsteps, so you can actually tell, if the dude above you is a tank or a support.
The sound is physicalized and is muffled differently when next to a door, behind a wall or outside.
The finals suffers from "Unreal Engine Sound". It is not spatialized correctly. You can not hear if an enemy is above or below you. You can barely hear enemy footsteps, only if you stand still. "You are stunned" is a gamechanging event, but the sound is quieter than all gunshots.
And by god you can not tell if footsteps are from an enemy or an ally.
