I am absolutely done with engagement based matchmaking

Download game, play first match. It's all people who just installed like me. Fun times. I can compete, I win a few, I get some kills, I have fun.

I play about ten more matches. Suddenly EVERY enemy player has already maxxed out the battlepass they're clearly in a Discord call healing and shielding eachother, they know all the maps top to bottom and all the strong strategies and weapons, I cannot get a singular kill in anymore, I not only lose the match but I get absolutely stomped into the ground OVER and OVER and OVER. I cannot even play on the same level as I need about a thousand more matches to even get the loadouts they use.

I know my yelling at clouds won't help so I'm uninstalling, but frankly, this is a fun game and once again they ruin it with engagement based matchmaking. For the love of God just stop doing this.

SBMM is trash, I totally agree with you.
I don't want to tryhard every single match with a premade of two players of my level.
I mean, I could understand this in ranked but not in casual play, come on.

At least it's not entirely skill based. When it's picking your teammates if you don't have a full squad, it gets you random AFKs and people playing from China from a netcafe where you can hear a billion people shouting the entire match.

But yeah, one of the many reasons its pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It'll be a dead game soon enough.

Same, except I'm often top 1-3 best players in the match even against the discord stacks and I still lose 70% of my matches. The single worst player in the lobby is often on my team as well, even after going on long losing streaks there will still be someone going 0-12 on my team.
I think you just have to intentionally play like crap when you first install the game if you dont want the SBMM sabotaging you and basically forcing you to hard carry every single match solo.

same , even if you are a good player now the lobbys are so lame , everyone camping for objective so mad , and the game end only whit few kills and very low action , sbmm will kill this game , i can understand rank but casual is ruined even for good/top players becouse everyone will have less fun , in the end you are forced to play whit a good team or you will be deleted

I was having a blast with this game. most fun ive had gaming in years. and now it just feels like the reason i quit playing halo infinite

what a lame excuse that is so over used lol. this game was the perfect game to play with buddies after a full day of work. kick back and have fun. and now like all modern FPS games. if i want to play for fun my team has zero chance of even scoring. we have to play at PEAK performance to keep up every single match. same thing thats killing COD and Halo and people defense is always yours. no i dont want to pubstomp. i want a fun game to enjoy like the first 2 decades of multiplayer
