Everything seems broken when you have 100% accuracy.
I've started playing the game again after taking a break since season 2, I feel it's in a good place in terms of cheaters, I haven't encountered any in the last 30 games or so (not obvious at least like in the past with some guy on top of the cranes aimboting across the map)
LOL.. sure.
Just sharing my own experience. Been playing fps all my life so I know how to spot cheaters. Haven't come across any so far (in a week of playing)
As have I, for 30 years. I also have the kind of autism with strong pattern recognition. I was literally born to spot cheaters. And there's at least one in every other match on EU, often several, and on the weekends I can end up reporting basically the whole lobby.
Spectating random teammates my report ratio is phenomenally high too.
But really, a throw back button? It's not like you can cook them and toss them on people like it's COD. and you have PLENTY of options to avoid or block them unless you're glitched or stunned. There's no need to take all the skill out of good placement, since it would make throwing them at your feet while running or dropping them on steals useless.
Like I remember Farcry 3 had a super simple ticking down sound on nades (as well as an indicator ofc, lol) and that simple ticking still stayed with me as something memorable I haven't forgotten about.
(I preemptively apologise for mentioning 2 Ubisoft games in a row, lmao)
Even though Rainbow 6 Siege, these days can barely be called a tactical shooter it has always had nade indicators, because it allows for actual player interactions. Instead of just being 'what killed me..? Oh.'
If I'm going to be killed by a nade I want to be PVUCKING JUMPSCARED by a threat indicator, make it play the damn horror trumpets from Outlast or something, ANYTHING to actually make nades have any memorability and make me type 'pretty good nade ngl' in chat.
At the moment nades are just lame and unfun to die to, yeah.
This is why I exclusively play with Thermal Vision on and feel naked when it's on cooldown. Also because my PC is an ultimate potato and that enemy look like pixel blobs. A black and white game is how I win all my TDMs, specially against other lights who think they're safe in invis haha
But yeah grenades are completely invisible to me.
