Grenades need a HUD indicator (or a high pitch sound), a longer delay to explosiion and a "throw back" key.
Don't tell me "skill issue" when there's no way to tell when you're standing on a grenade. This game is based on pure chaos and destructible bits of "stuff" flying everywhere across your screen, as a Light class IF you notice a tiny black ball rolling at your feet, then it's a "oh ♥♥♥♥" moment before you just disappear.

I'm not a bad player (20k rank) and I still die to explosive stuff like that completely randomly several times each game. There's no worst feeling than getting obliterated by a thing that you cannot counter with your skill alone. There's a good reason devs are reworking the Stun gun and nerfed the mines back then because they were taking away from good reflexes.

I don't see the point in the devs buffing or nerfing anything until they deal with the cheaters.

Everything seems broken when you have 100% accuracy.

I've started playing the game again after taking a break since season 2, I feel it's in a good place in terms of cheaters, I haven't encountered any in the last 30 games or so (not obvious at least like in the past with some guy on top of the cranes aimboting across the map)

Just sharing my own experience. Been playing fps all my life so I know how to spot cheaters. Haven't come across any so far (in a week of playing)

bro I can't even see the dude im shooting at because of 5000 particles from 30 different sources on my screen, lets worry about that before we add more hand holding please.

As have I, for 30 years. I also have the kind of autism with strong pattern recognition. I was literally born to spot cheaters. And there's at least one in every other match on EU, often several, and on the weekends I can end up reporting basically the whole lobby.

Spectating random teammates my report ratio is phenomenally high too.
While I definitely don't have a monumental amount of hours on the game, the only thing that MIGHT be good to add is a hud indicator accessibility option. The grenade DOES make a very distinct sound when it lands, and treating them more like another area denying annoyance with a long fuse would make the other nade types less diverse.

But really, a throw back button? It's not like you can cook them and toss them on people like it's COD. and you have PLENTY of options to avoid or block them unless you're glitched or stunned. There's no need to take all the skill out of good placement, since it would make throwing them at your feet while running or dropping them on steals useless.

Grenades being so stealthy is honestly one of the game's low points RN.

Like I remember Farcry 3 had a super simple ticking down sound on nades (as well as an indicator ofc, lol) and that simple ticking still stayed with me as something memorable I haven't forgotten about.
(I preemptively apologise for mentioning 2 Ubisoft games in a row, lmao)
Even though Rainbow 6 Siege, these days can barely be called a tactical shooter it has always had nade indicators, because it allows for actual player interactions. Instead of just being 'what killed me..? Oh.'
If I'm going to be killed by a nade I want to be PVUCKING JUMPSCARED by a threat indicator, make it play the damn horror trumpets from Outlast or something, ANYTHING to actually make nades have any memorability and make me type 'pretty good nade ngl' in chat.
At the moment nades are just lame and unfun to die to, yeah.

This is why I exclusively play with Thermal Vision on and feel naked when it's on cooldown. Also because my PC is an ultimate potato and that enemy look like pixel blobs. A black and white game is how I win all my TDMs, specially against other lights who think they're safe in invis haha

But yeah grenades are completely invisible to me.

I said this in The Finals reddit yesterday and got downvoted (check notes) 37 times hahaha, how is that not a popular opinion ? Grenade users enjoy their privilege pretty much.
Usually don't have trouble spotting grenades, my main gripe with them is that when I throw one it seems like it takes a full minute to go off; I've thrown one once where I chucked it at someone as far as it goes, grappled in to finish off what I hoped would be an easy kill only to die from it on arrival. Meanwhile, when a grenade reaches me it explodes on contact leaving no time to move away.
its possible to play medium and use aps turret, if you are a light player dying to a nade then thats on you mate, you are the fastest class in the game, adapt instead of complaining you died to a well thrown nade.

Your character literally shouts that a grenade is incoming
Tbh don't all the nades in this game have a faint tracer effect on them so you can catch a glance at the trajectory if they're being thrown at you or am I just going schizophrenic.

they are highlighted just like enemies are, the 3rd person view of grenades they are the size of soccer balls too.
