THE FINALS

THE FINALS

View Stats:
Sudden Stutter
Every time I play the finals, I get a random 2-3 second stutter every couple of hours. This stutter is not something I can recreate intentionally. Sometimes it happens in a match, sometimes on the home screen. It appears as though frames skip, and the audio gets choppy.

Other than this very occasional but very frustrating stutter, the game runs great above 100 fps.

I have:
AMD Ryzen 7 5800x
32GB of ram
An RTX 3060

Here is footage of the stutter occurring while sitting on the main screen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08GqLAlpc50

It took place approximately 2 hours after opening the game.

On average I experience the stutter 4-8 times in a 6-hour span of playing.

Additional info.

I don't get this stutter in ANY other games or at any other time on my machine. The stutter ONLY occurs when the game is open, it happened once while I was tabbed over to discord, and the stutter affected discord's UI and call audio.

So the finals is doing something that causes my whole machine to stutter?
This game has always been CPU intensive, and things do seem a little worse this season with the game. Things like the game not shutting down properly, or random UE crashes, seems to have become more frequent.

Having said that, Nvidia recently came out and admitted that the Nvidia App has also been causing issues recently with framerate drops and stuttering. Perhaps try uninstalling the app and see if that helps.

Ive seen this issue happen before, no idea the cause and Embark seem either unaware that its an issue or dont see it as a priority.

set everything on low except the textures , this game sadly uses ue5, so there is a lot of things killing perfomance
Hilariously, I already have everything set to low. I honestly don't think this is a "performance" issue. I get the same framerate with RTX + everything else on Max as I do with everything on low. But the issue persists no matter what
4090 i9 14900k same issue
