Too quiet?

Is it just me or has Embark not said a word about The Finals after that beta? I'm not looking for a weekly news feed or anything but just you know, giving us progress on what they are doing, suff like devstreams maybe. I dont know, i just find this silence weird, same goes for Arc Raiders and we ended up getting another crutch on an extration shooter instead of a confident new take in co-op gameplay... eitherway i just hope the end result is a nice pvp game that doesnt get full of try hards in a week! They also didn't say anything between first and second beta. I guess they'll start updating us closer to release or after beta 3 (tho I'm not entirely sure beta 3 is confirmed)

I have to admit all the silence is disappointing and worrisome too... gets me frightened of if the game is even still alive or is dying and in danger of going dead before Release...

Seems like game devs never truly learn. Communication is the key to maintaining your community. The lack of communication is resulting in less people caring, so by the time they actually do want to release the game or do something along those lines, the majority of people who were interested may have moved on already and not care.

Also could potentially end up not even getting word on the Release and never even realize it happened...

social media gamers will do the marketting for it like apex did at launch
worst case scenario ? you will hear about the game 1 week after launch , you can't really 'not realize it launched '
but this will not happen , they will bombard us with marketings something like , condensed high frequency adverts in short periode of time when close to launch

I highly doubt this game will be popular after the release by a while, It might and will definitely get some attention but the hype will die quickly. People keep comparing it to Apex Legends, but that's completely unrealistic in my opinion. When Apex Legends was released, EA had a lot of hype around it after the sudden release and you know how big EA is despite hating them compared to Embark lol, also the game was advertised as a successor to Titanfall, which has a huge fan base. As a result, a ton of people played Apex Legends right away.

I agree that some Battlefield players might be interested in this game, but with only two or three maps and one or two game modes at launch, people won't keep playing for more than a month or so. Even Battlefield players complain about needing new content regularly. I don't think Embark will be able to focus on both this game and Ark Raiders, which is also in development. This could cause some problems in the short and medium term.

Actually, the same thing is XDefiant trying to do exactly with the COD fan base, which will end up as a fail as well, Unfortunately, despite it actually being a good game (I played it).

So, I'm sorry not trying to be un-optimistic but with this situation and lack of updates around this game and the limited content that was shown the game will 90% be released with it, (I heard in a broadcast shared on their discord with the developers that 2 maps only were created and that was a few months ago). I cannot really see this game having the same success or even close to it lol when released.
