i've been told that it only needs to precompile the shaders the first time you ever launch the game so it's kinda weird that i have to wait like 10 minutes to launch every time it crashes for no reason

shader precompile only takes a couple seconds for me, some games do it every launch. IIRC it did take a while the first time I launched the game, but that was so long ago. Try verifying maybe?

already did, nothing changed

It only does it after a graphics driver update for me. I have Nvidia and it's a new one probably every 3 weeks, It could be that if you only play every few weeks it ends up being everytime.

On an NVME SSD (far from the top-end one), it takes no more than 2-3 minutes, so it's possible that it's the SSD/HDD on which the game is installed. By the way, if there is often a long recompilation process, and it is at this point that the game crashes, then theoretically the game does not have enough space to perform recompilation until the operation is successfully completed, I advise you to check the free space on the SSD/HDD (in this case, if there is such a problem).

in that case is there any way to check my SSD for problems because of the long loading time?, i've been thinking that it may also be a bottleneck of the CPU because it's kinda old (Ryzen 3 3200G)

edit: also i got the error code for the crash i always get when trying to join a game: LoginId:4f44d90e401d168915d0d8ad8430e898
EpicAccountId:1cae5d480b1b4a5194c53268e9f68ba4

Unhandled Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION 0x000001825cd85c00

Discovery

idk if this is related to the shaders issue

for me it used happens once every patch the games get, but after season 4 launch it keeps precompiling shaders on every launch
