Yeah, world tour isn't bad. The matchmaking however, is. It's terrible in fact. And the quick play modes grant you the ability to escape an unfair match without any penalty. World tour is basically unplayable if you dont have 2 friends to bring along for the ride.

I don't even like the 'normal' mode... I only play Powershift - unless forced to for achievements - which is a crappy way to just ruin the enjoyment in the game...

I mean match making ♥♥♥♥♥ you over no matter the mode? I mean if you get into a unfair match at least you'll loose within time not a big deal you'll be out soon.


i've been able to play World tour without friends and its fine for me. sometimes I get leavers, sometimes I get absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ obliterated.

But thats how games go.

Maybe im the odd one out but I don't see the issue besides that fact that somtimes you get ♥♥♥♥ players, but that goes for any mode. Somtimes you just gotta take a loss and move on.

It comes down to how much one values their time. I play video games for fun, so if I have to spend 15m in a boring/unfun/irritating session just to avoid getting penalized it is time wasted. By the way, bad matches dont have to result in faliure. Nothing's worse than having a team so bad you would rather just leave, but the enemy is also so bad (or you get plain lucky) that the session drags on and on all the way to the Finals....suddenly what coukd've been 15 minutes spent poorly turned to 45. Meanwhile, all of this could've been over under 3 minutes if not for the penalties. Leave, requeue, done.

A while ago i had a world tour match just me and another guy 3rd left.

So what did we do? instead of leaving we decided to be the most irritating duo in the game. Doubling every cashout and trying to steal to just be a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nusiance

did we win?

no

was it fair?


god no


but did i make the best of the situation to have a semblance of fun?


You bet your ass i did!

when a game goes to ♥♥♥♥ sometimes you just gotta improvise your fun another way it may not be winning but you can always do something else.


but its subjective on how people see fun and how they have it. if you cant have fun in a bad match even if you try i cant change that. Everyones way of having fun is different.

I'm having a blast with The Finals overall...
But THIS kind of thing makes me furious: The Jack o Lantern Contract... 3 kills with a Jack O Lantern. You only get those in World Tour. Getting a kill takes more than 1 hit, or an enemy has to be badly damaged. There's no notable splash from the Lanterns so you have to hit direct. So you have to ignore your team and spend half a dozen matches or more trying to get a hits with lanterns at the right time to get the kills. It's not going to happen on it's own and it's hard as hell. The damage contract, no problem. The kill contract? IN WORLD TOUR? That's just stupid.

Eh, limiting stuff like this to one game mode is pretty ass.

Oceania straight up can't play world tour without +200 ping and in general World Tour isn't that popular.
