Further nerfing might get the weapon not being used by people, which can reproduce the cycle of rebuffing back.
- do not cause damage to themselves if they miss and hit a nearby wall/floor
- too suitable for campers.
Personally, I am constantly terrorized with these knives, either if face to face, no one succeeds in defeating me, or if it is not possible to “camp” me with a firearm (by going behind my back or from the side, when I have already entered into fight with someone else).
In this situation, I would like to at least (!) be allowed to have a CL-40 with infinite ammunition (I mean, so that it does not require reloading).
Someone will say in this case - “but then every third player, or even every second one, will run with them!” But then look at what began to happen to throwing knives after the buffs.
And then - even if the CL-40 is made the way I described it above - it will still be no less dangerous for the player than for the enemy, and throwing knives forgive any (!) shortcomings in the attack. If you miss using throwing knives, you always have the opportunity to continue spamming the enemy, if you accidentally hit a wall / floor nearby, then you will receive exactly 0 damage, and the enemy may not even notice it, since he may be distracted sounds of battle and other sounds. A grenade launcher does not always forgive such mistakes.
By the way, how did someone here defend throwing knives, saying about them that “they are used - not because they are OP, but because they are fun to use.” Well, I can say the same about the grenade launcher if its cooldown is removed :D .
Also, I don't know why throwing knives are being compared to the CL-40 in regards to self-damage. Throwing knives are for the most part a single target weapon, even though they register as 2 separate projectiles. Whereas the CL-40 is an AOE weapon meant to damage multiple targets.
