you might want to get your facts checked. 26k+ vs 21k+ the highest according to SteamDB. and this is AFTER the 5v5 update. not great numbers.

maybe not EXACTLY a month but it was down to 19k on april 9 and has been dropping consistently since and then gained on May 2nd and it peaked at 21.2 last night. Game has gained players over the last 2-3 days, and its very apparent, I've been carrying noobs almost every game the last few days.

People are obsessed with this an unhealthy amount nowadays. Finding matches? Good, play and enjoy. Unless you're scouring for players to fill actual tournament brackets or something, as long as your MM times are quick enough don't stress it so much. Population is healthy with cross play, not everything has to be a COD killer and here's a hint, if it has an actual skill gap it'll never be. This game allows for major outplay and usually we know the first to be turned off by this. If it finds itself in a healthy niche end life, that's fine by me as long as I'm getting games and the servers are working well.

even without crossplay (I keep it off) 20k is more than enough players. I never have to wait longer than 30 seconds to find a match, unless im playing at like 2 in the morning.

nah, the game's in the process of dying. why would you want to invest time into that? well as long as you go in with the mindset that this is all going to end before 2025 rolls around, then i say its no harm in trying.

who cares about players, just play. The game needs only 9-24 players to fill lobby's and has crossplay on. it's not dying or dead!

L takes by a lot of people here that dont understand how games usually launch and go. Game has little to no marketing, only when it was launching was it marketed properly. 20k players everyday is great for that $ spent on marketing.

No it's not dead and it's not dying. It was overhyped and everybody praised it like a godlike art. Finals will not die anytime soon, having player base this size is not bad. There are games with 3k playerbase supported for years with healthy updates. Devs are no newbies, they know how to make a game. Look at Hunt Showdown, niche game that had lower playercount for years and survived just fine.

game is far from dying lmao you are purely looking at PC numbers not realizing xbox and playstation are different. this game is pretty niche so don't look for cod or battlefield numbers. As a consistent player I havent waited more than 2 minutes for a game.
