Could even tune the sweetspot to make it less forgiving on the closer ones. Or I guess this could just be an unintended result of tuning up melee as a whole, in which case my coming rant will be a bit over the top and offended-like. If that's whats up; nice no harm done just undo it for the dagger. I appreciate the change to melee snapping on my sledge. BUT IF THIS WAS AN INTENTIONAL BALANCE and it's never put back this game will straight up occupy the same area in my brain as a sour divorce.

In all these months of ranked there was only one ever "GrandLion" I faced who made me eat my jorts dying to akiba step. And every time I had to be like "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ he's so good". Can't write down properly what it was like to fly landing perfect backstabs after your team would flame you in select about carrying a dumbass knife into a shooter. Anyone who's done it knows how much (hate to say it-) SKILL was required. And how that fulcrum between utter failure or insane cashout saving highlight was perfectly tuned and felt like you defied all odds. And made your brain chemicals go "mmmmmm". And how real niches like that don't exist in games anymore. My stomach sank taking it into the practice range after missing all match and realizing they have turned it into exactly what my teammates would insist it was. R.I.P the best playstyle of any game ever - If I wanted to sit on a roof and point my mouse at things I'd go play something else.

Man, I just noticed that change and yes - I am so dissapointed that they removed the Akiba step (Dash step). It was so cool, and I sincerely hope that THE FINALS will bring it back. That trick was main reason why I chose the dagger as my main weapon. Like dagger initially has many disadventages when comparing to other weapons, and I dont think that it need any nerf. I would more likely say that they should baff dagger. Homie, I am srtuggling with you:(

being back stabbed in your face obviously was not intended and I'm glad it's gone. However, I recognise that the dagger has been garbage since the betas and they need to fix the hit reg and interpolation issues that exist instead.

Damn. Just came back from a long break and couldn't hit a single step in game or practise range. Thought it was just a skill thing at first but this sucks. It was some of the only fun I had as light
