I just keep track of stats from my matches in a spreadsheet.
So basically, it's 10% accurate, 90% copium.
Source : Trust me bro.
After around 500 hours in-game, I've seen a variety of cheaters:
- Those with a damage/rate of fire high enough to make a difference, yet subtle enough to evade a novice's notice
- Yet often, it's not even the subtle cheats that dominate. Before your finger even twitches towards the fire button, you and mostly your mates are instantly down. Hit rate at 100%, cadence at 10 milliseconds, dead in the blink of an eye, conclusively revealing that a brain-dead cheater reigns supreme, as lifeless in skill as in strategy.
- Players who brazenly shoot at the victors during the endgame sequence
- Characters lounging on a bench as the game ends
- Individuals whose firing speed would make the M134 Minigun seem inferior
- And those firing non-stop, unloading bullets for minutes on end
- Yesterday, a member of a opposing team, was subjected to the onslaught of three teams–include my team. He continued to traverse the battlefield with divine impunity, utterly invulnerable. Such blatant disregard for fair play casts a shadow over the game, reducing the battlefield to a mere playground for the deceitful. In their deluded grandeur, these cheaters might fancy themselves as cunning tacticians, yet their only true skill lies in the art of deceit.
- and many more
I've discovered a hack that leaves you with nothing but static noise. Previously mistaken by me for a bug, this phenomenon became evident today: when all you hear is static, a cheater is nearby. The static ceased only when I distanced myself on the map; approaching the action brought it back. It began with the first fight, before which everything was normal. This hack practically blinds you, especially against stealthy attackers with knives or swords. Not surprisingly, the cheater's team emerged victorious. They're probably giving each other virtual high-fives over it. But who really cares? It’s just like another sack of rice toppling over in China 🤷♂️.
Moreover, the incidence of cheaters not only fluctuates with the time of day but also with one’s gameplay duration. For the novice with a mere five hours under their belt, cheaters seem to lurk around every corner, turning every shadow into a potential threat. However, with 500 hours of play, the distinction becomes clearer: you learn who is genuinely skilled, who is exceptionally good, and who relies on cheats to feign prowess. Thus, time spent in-game transforms perception, turning naivety into seasoned discernment.
Drawing conclusions from these observations can be as subjective as labeling the complaints mere whining. Everyone will have their own experiences, and I would caution against claiming it's 1% or 99%. Who had cheaters running through the endgame sequence? I did. Who else? Possibly none of you. You see the point.
And at Embark, someone's just sparked up a joint with a weary yawn. 🥱🚬
Good players play smart, cheaters just rush but with impossible perfect accuracy. If you know the game it's not difficult to tell them apart.
I should say it was a lot worse in February though.
