The Finals is a 1 year old game. In the closed beta and open beta they had huge issues with cheaters and nothing changed for the full game release.

There are never detected hacks for 20 bucks on 6 different websites that I'm not gonna name. There are a bunch of free hacks too. On season 2 release day there was a leaked external DMA based hack.

Every single round I play, there is a rage cheater now, that farms the whole lobby, sometimes multiple. They use burner accounts cheat for 2-3 days boost their friends to diamond.

?How to fix the cheating issues?

- Get a team with 4 devs that only handle the cheating problem and instant ban cheaters with proof that was sent in the Discord "cheaters" channel.

- Kill cam

- Overwatch

- Force players to spend 10 dollars or 1150 multibucks to unlock ranked.
PLAYERS GET BACK THE 1150 multibucks, so they actually don't spend money to unlock ranked. (Significantly reduce the burner account cheaters)

- Phone verification

I bet nothing will change, the game will die slowly and EMBARK will move on The Finals about 2-3 years as a success. There is no future for this game, no private matches, no esport, twitch activities.

I've no intention to play a game where I consistently get farmed by hackers and has no esport future. I was patient for a year, but the game is in the same unplayable status.

I mean, you're not wrong with most of this, but the game does have private matches now, and due to that, proper tournaments can run.

Did they fixed it and you can choose teams now? If you still can't choose teams, it is still crap...

does it just stick you on teams randomly? I haven't actually tried private matches, I assumed you would be able to pick your team.

Devs in general don't seem to be too concerned with cheating these days. I know because the most basic preventative measures are missing in most games. There is no reason why somebody who lands every shot of a magazine of a mp into somebody's head on a distance of 200 meters with full auto fire doesn't get automatically banned. Some things that only cheaters can do should cause instant bans, but they don't. Cheaters can do impossible things in most games and it would be more than easy to prevent that, but they don't. Tells you all you need to know.

The team wants to prevent any behavior that gives one player an unfair advantage over others. When they receive reports about suspicious accounts, they're looking into every single one of them.

That's why it's also important to report them whenever possible, preferably in-game so the Team can deal with them appropriately. If you have screenshots or clips or want to make a report while you're not in-game, send a ticket to the support team, and they'll investigate it too: Player Reports.[id.embark.games]

Thank you for providing us with video. I think this is the best way to write about cheating, with video material about it. As you can notice, no one is writing git gud here or that they have never ever seen a cheater in their entire gaming life...

Nobody wants to play a report simulator. If easy anticheat doesnt do anything why its here? Obviously if it wasnt to just grab our pc's data youd go and try some of the new AI anticheats already available

To be fair it isn't a proper tested concept yet due to valve having an anti-cheat that is merely a suggestion from 2 decades ago rather than a working anti-cheat compared to this game. Ain't calling this game's anti-cheat the greatest however but tf2 has such negligent support it can't even match the finals due to the fact it has at least 1 dedicated human developer

Phone Verification would reduce the hacker situation by roughly 50%. TF2 did this.

Add in double checks so the same number can't be used for multiple accounts, and you have to reverify every X months, and there would be less hackers.

Though I'm personally yet to come across one, I think you should know, like 80% of the time when cheat developers claim being undetected for major anticheats like eac or battleeye, theyre most likely lying, or just mean being undetected for only like 30 minutes

(also the finals uses anybrain, do with that what you will)

If you can't support this new developer (EMBARK) with 10$ that you get back by multibucks to spend on battlepass or a unique skin. Then its a terrible sign for the developers. They will go bankrupt in a year if everyone think the same.

What's the point of the ranked now? You can't win it. You'll find atleast 1 cheating team out of 16.

"Paying" for ranked "prime" is one of the best solution to punish burner accounts, its a way easier solution than phone verification.
Put back casual tournament and EVERY OTHER GAMEMODE WOULD BE FREE.
Casuals won't care about this change.
