Combat score calculation
Anybody here know how does it actually work? A lot of the time if you get knocked out in round 1, the combat score in-game scoreboard and post-match game screen don't match.

Have they given a run-down how it all works?

The combat score you see at the end of a tournament is cumulative from all rounds.

So one would think, but in my example, if you get knocked out in the first round it can still mismatch between the round score and in post match screen.

Unless it is a bad case of visual bug, but it happens pretty much all the time so I'm not so sure about that

Combat score after the game "ends" doesn't actually count. When the game "ends" (Sound plays, round end is shown on screen and time slows down) you can still get 4 kills but those dont actually count.

I realize that but it still isn't exactly what I mean. You could be just chilling and not shooting anybody when the round+match finishes and the score can still be different in both. Not always, but it's happened many many times.
