why is there still no unranked tournament

ranked is a hell hole to play in if you want to have fun

I have a legit theory: Ranked is what attracts all the cheaters.
Or in other words: The casual game mode (quick cash, whatever) are spared from cheaters, so the majority of casuals/unexperienced players (the biggest playerbase) in this game are spared from facing cheaters, while the 10 - 20 % of sweaty competitive players have to endure the cheating shi.ethole.

Usual business-cost decision, nothing unusual.
If they bring back the normal tournament mode, likely some cheaters will swap over to it.

But i have to do a tournament for the skin, its my only one left and cheaters ruin the tournies

havent faced any cheater on my attempts to win a tournament. im sadly unlucky with the players i got paired, some of them REALLY REALLY dumb dumbs. im saying that as a bad player so imagine being a bad player and still playing better than the guys you are paired with and some times the before mentioned guys having best rank than you that never played ranked before

There was an unranked tournament mode until recently. However, ranked is fun if you have a competitive mindset in regards of video games. Definitely one of the best FPS games ever.

Edit: sometimes there is an obvious cheater in a tourney, most time there is no obvious one. I hope they find a solution to minimize the cheater issue.

Ranked doesn't even pop in some regions so it's a stupid challenge. I've said as much on their discord so hopefully it gets changed.
