[Closed] Ranking System... How does it work?

The ranking system... It has been around since the beginning. And since the beginning I have been asking myself this one question: How does this ranking system work at all?

Well, we have 5 levels per rank, and 5 ranks. That's clear.To win/lose a rank, from the perspective of a fresh rank, you either have to lose 3 partial levels (which are marked as bars), or win. Sure.

But how exactly you get these partial levels (bars) is unclear to me... Because here's the problem: If you win 3 tiers after a tournament round, for example, and these are also displayed in the game menu, and I play a pleasant round afterwards... it counts up the sublevels from 0 again during the animation. It often happened that you already have, for example, 3 sublevels, win a tournament and then at the end you are downgraded again from 0 sublevels to 2 or 3 sublevels in the same rank.

Is there a system? Or is it a bug... You decide

That has nothing to do with SBMM. Its the Ranking System that is the mistery here...

for me the bars only show if you did good or bad for example, if you go up 3 you did really well if you did bad you for the most part only go down one bar if you left i hear you go down 2 bars the problem with this new ranked system is that you dont know where in the ranks you are lik if you are gold 2 and trying to get to gold 1 you dont know where in between the 2 ranks you are, so you dont know how many wins or good games you need to rank up.

for me at least in the lower ranks it was 2 wins to go up but once i got to plat 1 trying to get to diamond i had to win 4 games and alot of second rounds but i dont know for sure how many.
and they said the ranked system goes after how well you played but they never gave details on what exatly they count for going up.

also the old system we had in season 1 showed a progressbar and you also saw how many points you needed to rank up and also how many points you got for you placements.

Well... If its just an indicator of how well you performed it shoulnd display in the menu imo. Just after the round. Cause its irritating, when you can see these bars in the menu.
