Throwing knives buff [DISCUSSION]
Seeing this chaos in Quick as a main tk player with hundreds of hours, can say, WELL BALANCED, TRULY WELL, MEN (playing matches with 25+ kills)!
That was a skill-dependent weapon and a weapon about precision, not spamming left click. Instead, you don't need right click anymore (not saying about guys who already know how to turn throwing knives into a machine gun through emote cancel). Well, I could be glad for the buff and enjoy the tk as it is right now, but I don't think it's fair to other players. It's just a shame to call it "THE BALANCE"!
What do y'all think, players?

Even as someone who has only used it a handful of time I recognized it could use a buff but what they did was just narrow the skill gap, they have realized a skin for it both seasons and rarely gets used. Honestly don’t really care about this one, well see how it turns out. The aps turret nerf is a little harsh however, 40% damage per projectile is too much, unless it caps the damage so the device can never actually destroy itself, not sure if this is the case though. Im a heavy main for anyone wondering.

there was people shreding entire groups with tk before the buff, i really dont get why they facilitate things so much to lights when its the most used class on any non ranked game mode.

the throwing knives were like the revolver, fun to use and can get lots of kills under the right circumstances but are not worth it to use vs the better options in most cases. I use the high skill weapons, I prefer them, but I quit using throwing knives early in season 1 and quit using the revolver early in season 2 because I was just at a disadvantage in almost every fight and having to constantly work harder for kills gets stale. The throwing knives definitely needed a buff, and they feel pretty good now but I will agree that maybe the default fire was a little overtuned when it was the secondary fire that needed it more.

Embark: "Fcar is too much OP in hands of a good player, let's nerf it to the ground"
Meanwhile, embark: *buffes knives*, *ignores sword with exploit*. Good players was able to team wipe even without this buff. And now what? 25\0 25\1 in quick cash. And they nicely ignoring sword with exploit, it also can teamwipe on easy.
Embark's logic are gorgeous.

it's pretty strong. might have been a lil to over tuned
though i have only played like 5 or 6 games after the buff
right now, everyone is using them because buff, but in a few days i imagine
it'll go back to sword and XP spam. So idk.

in non ranked lights were always a constant, isnt like people werent using that class at all. i dont know why devs keep friggin giving them more and more

i dont mind them buffing knifes but it needs to happen on all other weapons too. 17 kills 2 death in a match just now. everyone esle were just simply shreded to pieces. Embark dont have a right clue about balancing. but the only good thing they can do is to stop nerf forever.

hey 400 hrs on knives here, d3 only using them, they were good before, people just think they are ♥♥♥♥ because instead of aiming to hitscan and memorising recoil patterns, you had to focus on leading shots, comboing right and left click and perfect timing, it wasn't something you could just pick up and instantly know how to use like the other guns. in all purposes the buff was really bad, they made them too op and ruined what made them special at the same time. even though they were fantastic once you learned them, and when you pop off with them its too extreme lengths, they were a little on the weak side compared to stuff like xp and m11.
the new knives have lost everything that made them fun with the update which seems to be moving in a direction to make them more like the other guns and thus more approachable. this was the wrong way to go with it. leading shots is dead and so is stringing together well timed attacks and combos with left and right. right is dead currently because they buffed left so hard it became obsolete.

the real way and proper way they should have buffed it is by keeping left click exactly the way it was and upping right click damage from 140-149.

the reason why knives are so op in the current patch is because you can now 2 cycle medium with only left click which makes right click useless. they are way faster too making right clicks old range advantage over left basically gone too.
upping rmb to 149 would allow for a skilled player to still 2 cycle mediums like the current buff but by forcing use of both to unlock that damage potential. this also means lights still cannot be one shot by a single right click, but will be left at 1 (which is basically the same as the previous 10)

Embark have definitely taken the easy route to buffing knives, making them more mainstream and less unique. they defo looked at the stats and threw it into the patch to fill the patch notes as they start dwindling before season 3 without thinking.

kinda ruined my favourite weapon, i hope they do the right thing...
