There is a HUGE skill gap between those who play "The Finals" how it was meant to be played : replicating a competitive e-sport tournament with the commentators hyping you up and elimination rounds...
... and casual quick-players who just play Bank It or some other alternative mode.
If anyone complains about Heavy being too weak or Light being OP, then their understanding of the game and the meta is flawed. That's about it lol

Literally dead on with that. people suggest hundreds of changes to things that can easily be countered.
Like snipers in power shift
play heavy
build wall
voila they cant hit you any more
bonus point get your own light with a smg to hunt them down
NOT EVEN ON THE TOP 100 steam played games anymore, so its pretty much taking a dive every week. Give it another month and no one will care anymore. Too bad too because at its core its very fun to play. Devs just cant seem to understand how to balance it.
So thats also the problem. Meta game play that people dont wanna do. This is why the game is failing. LOL most people cheat in this game. Its the diseased "esports" mentality is why games suck so bad to begin with. Games become metad and then they become too boring to even try to play.
Meta is just another excuse for people who just spend their time trying to get the easiest way to win and then cry when people want it balanced.
Humans are hard-wired to find the path of least effort to a reward. Metas evolve naturally in every. single. game. out. there. Chess ? Tons of meta plays. Specially when people become competitive and the goal becomes to win instead of simply "having fun". Then again, you will find competitive players even in stuff like Animal Crossing lol, there will always be people trying to find exploits and the easiest possible route to end-game (speed-runners and such)
There's tons of games out there with a counter system that are very successful. League of Legends being a good example, some heroes are straight up designed to counter other heroes.
It's the goal of the devs to keep buffing ignored parts of the game to divert the meta to other things, and that's how it evolves without becoming toxic (like massive nerfs all the time is not a good thing in any game, except for Nukes, f*ck nukes)
You say "Lights are the most OP thing in the game" but I got hard carried in a Gold rank game yesterday, I was literally the ONLY light player for the 3 rounds. This is not an exceptional event, Lights get absolutely demolished by any medium with good aim or a heavy with a rocket launcher. All they have to do is sit wait and listen for sound cues, then higher HP pool wins 2 out of 3 times against a slight damage disadvantage. The best target for a Light is another Light, which is why I've decided to only play Bank It from now on (where everyone skilled and sweaty goes to enjoy the game)
And you called me a crybaby on the other thread you are... 🤣
