THE FINALS
!! IS TEAMING CONSIDERED CHEATING. !!
This is something i think many of us have been considering since the release of the game. It would heavily affect the dynamic of the game, AND likely in a fair way with way closer games.

I believe it would happen more often, IF we had a definitive answer on whether it is cheating or not. Embark has a page on what they consider cheating and teaming is not on the list. its also easier to team with people since we all have color coded auras.

and BEFORE some of you simpletons complain about how it would be completely unfair:
CONSIDER THIS

What about those cheaters you complain so deeply about. Imagine the boundless have a cheater on their team, and you can SOMEHOW (likely waste time trying to do it) but if you could communicate to (idk) the kingfish that you wanted to talk, and you point out the boundless.

Even if people werent cheating, if the community overall was playing like this, It would make for alot more interesting games and edge of the seat plot twists as teams that didnt stand a chance had a fair chance to finally come close to winning.

and you cant sit here and pretend like you havent had to fight two teams before in order to win a point. that part wouldnt change much.

we need an answer from the devs, because I need to know if I can get banned for it. not if the typical player would think its fun or fair. what do the devs think.

I don't even know of a country where you could end up in the same queue to even attempt it. If it's not against the rules, it should be.
Teaming IS cheating.
However to prove that they are DELIBERATELY teaming is nigh on impossible.
Sometimes enemies will work together for a common goal such as prolonging the match if it means they can do a turnaround.

And sometimes they split off and refuse to fight one another cause there's no point when they could run away.
It is cheating but the game devs are incompetent af

Teaming is not queuing with 6 people trying to get in the same game, what youre talking about is win trading, where you would be deciding the eventual first place.

What im talking about is teaming up with a random enemy team, with the goal to take down another superior team that you wouldnt be able to take down yourself.

In this senario you would still have to have a deciding final round between the two of you.

People are already doing one sided teaming, where you choose not to shoot a team because its okay if they take the cashout. (ie in quick cash, where the other team would win, so both teams focus them because they are the main threat)

what im talking about is both sides being aware in tournament mode, possibly even communicating to take down a larger threat.
Isn't what you're talking about intentional?

If my team isn't in danger of being knocked out, I can help the weaker team knock out the second team that is a bigger threat.

This is a legitimate strategy.
i agree, there has always been soft teaming, and thats why I want to talk about it and maybe make people more aware of this side of the game, as well as get a definitive answer on hard teaming.

I personally believe an argument can be made for every situation that wasnt a stacked 6 player team that queued at the same time before the match started.

Even in a situation where the two best teams in the game teamed up, if it wasnt a predetermined team, I believe is fair.

Only one team can qualify in hard teaming, if they were rolling like that for the entire game. That means that you would have to have 3 players who are going to give up all chances of winning for another random team.

Sometimes, its hopeless from the beginning, one player is getting 20, 30 kills. That team will win regardless of who qualifies with them. in situations like this, it doesnt matter who qualifies, as long as its not that team, and i for one would happily give up my win if i can make sure they dont qualify. It would give the other teams a fair chance at winning in the final round.
