USB disconnects 2024?
Ahoy, looked in past discussions for any potential fixing to the USB disconnect & reconnect problem. No matter how low I set my settings, my computer will disconnect and reconnect all USBs at complete random when the game is loaded in any part, from menus to even the practice range -- like, just a split second enough for one of my inputs to hang for a good second.
My computer's perfectly capable of handling more demanding games without this issue, so (hopefully) it's just an in-game issue, but looking back every possible bandaid for it was in season 1 back as late as last December. Such as plugging everything into 3.0 ports (which still messes up 2.0 ports) or downgrading to a lower DX version in launch settings, which reduces game performance.
Are there any new protips with settings that can fix this issue (or at least put a better bandaid on it) or are they still pretty much the same?

I have an old Ryzen 1800x with a rog crosshair vi hero, AM4 which has a
AMD X370 chipset. I have updated the Bios and Chipset drivers. Still getting it. I have gone to all the USB device manager and removed all the power settings to keep it to stay on. I have seen where it helps when doing the -D3D11 trick but it stutters the game.

If you are on AM4 with zen 3 (5xxx series) then look up forums on that topic, it's little to do with the game but USB issues with the platform. Test stock or underclocked cpu, memory, it's likely unstable at high load.
I think I'm having a similar issue. When I'm playing, the game seems to lock up and just not accept input from my mouse, and it happens every 10-15 seconds. It makes the game completely unplayable, and it's confusing because it wasn't like this at the first early access launch.

Check your power supply. Maybe USB 5V is not getting enough power when under load.

I think I figured it. I found something about RGB software with Razer Mice and Keyboards. Just uninstall the Razar software and see if that helps.

still happening, and has nothing to do with razer software

Bumping this because it was doing it to me tonight as well. It seemed relaunching the game fixes it, but I also had a weird half second bug where all inputs lagged for a split second including my screen?

USB disconnects could be simply down to a faulty wire or port on PC or peripheral or power management settings or USB driver

did you try a new wire or port or other peripheral with the same wire ?
did you check your power management settings?
did you uninstall and reinstall your USB drivers?

All of the above may well not be a problem with your motherboards / mouse / USB ports, etc.
This game has obvious (!) problems with input processing, because it can out of the blue - stop perceiving input devices (a mouse in my case), and because of this - for a few seconds - I lose the ability to shoot, or throw a grenade, or use any other gadgets.
Dependency - I found only one - this happens in busy scenes (let's say - several opponents in front of me in a fight, plus clouds of poisonous gases, plus destruction, etc.), and all this happens even with a 12-core 24-thread processor, which is never loaded by this game at 100%, because there is a performance reserve.

I have been observing this problem since the 1st season, with a cable connection to the Internet, but this also does not save from this bug. Just yesterday - I had a similar case, I wanted to throw a grenade into a crowd of fighting opponents who were 4-6 meters away from me, but I couldn't. I had to switch the grenade to a weapon, and back to the grenade, and only then I was able to throw this damn grenade, but the right moment for throwing, accordingly, was already missed.

I have not encountered such a problem in any game at all, both in online games and in offline games.

You could try disabling USB power saving / selective suspend for the affected devices if you haven't already. If that doesn't fix it then I'd assume it's an issue with the game or its anticheat.

I was having this issue for a few weeks but and it just stopped happening.
I updated all drivers, checked USB/HUB power settings, moved mouse to different hub ( front connector), updated monitor driver. idk if something I did fixed the issue but its gone now.

Figured it out. My USB hub (that only had audio in) was bad.

Initially, i followed a generic windows 11 guide which says to disable USB power saving on my USB devices. Go to device manager > double click each USB device you have > navigate to power management > disable "allow computer to turn off this device to save power (note: not all devices give this option) and disable it.

This didn't fix my problem, so i downloaded this program called USBLogView which records each disconnect/reconnect by device (this really should be a normal windows function but hey...), and i kept it running until i experienced the bug, it turns out it was a "realtek bluetooth adapter" disconnecting. I did the same to this and the problem seems to be fixed.
This is most likely a power issue of some kind, assuming you're not overloading your usb controller.
