It's always been safe to play The Finals.
Respawn is fixing their game and have nothing to do with this game.
He's not talking about Cheaters.
He's talking about the Apex ALGS hacks of Hal and Gen, live during the NA Finals. Some people on X initially were trying to blame EAC having a vulnerability, but that's since been mostly disproven and now it's either that Hal and Gen were backdoored through earlier phishing, or an actual RCE bug in Apex that Respawn is fixing (they already did a few issues and communicated about it earlier today).
Go stalk elsewhere, especially if you don't understand what's going on and are just going to be salty you were exposed as a bad player. This post just makes you look even worse than your whining thread about Light snipers actually being able to aim at you.

Seriously tough, no matter what other says, it's not safe: https://www.reddit.com/r/pcgaming/comments/y5jvzf/root_level_anticheat_is_getting_out_of_hand_again/
I don't know about NGS but EAC is rootkit level anti-cheat and the article I linked properly documents the risks why any rootkit level anti-cheat solution.
Anyway, I'm curious to know if it's really the case that they switched from EAC to NGS, which I suspect is using another rootkit level anti-cheat called XIGNCODE3.
Simple question: is the Finals impacted by the EAC fiasco allowing hackers to force you to cheat or inject malware to your PC through the game's vulnerabilities, as seen recently on Apex Legends?
Simple answer: No, because the issue is with Apex Legends, not with EAC. The "EAC issue" was a rumor, or more like a supposition that EAC could potentially be the issue. It was later confirmed that EAC was not the issue but the game itself, just like older COD games have these issues, from the same studio (kinda)
No one talked about cheaters or anything. Seriously learn to read basic text
There is no danger in playing video games, any video games. Dying in a video game or losing health in a video game doesn't cause your body to also die or lose health (outside of the poor lifestyle choices most gamers make). So playing The Finals is very safe, the matches are very safe. You just sit there, press a few buttons, and then get up when you're done.
Your point is ridiculous and completely besides what the OP was asking about, which was the Apex Legends hacking fiasco.
If they are running a KERNAL OS anticheat that does boot up with the pc. its not safe.
Most of these cheat issues can be resolved with SERVER SIDED anti-cheat scripting, which means a server needs more "horse power" under the hood, and less "VMs" being shoved onto bare metal boxes. Im a nobody and even I can figure this out.
a core group of programmers at a game company just need to stop being lazy and figure it out. its not rocket science. Its called spending the money, the time, and drinking boatloads of starbux and cosmic brownies, while burning the midnight oil :-)
Says the guy who thinks he's in danger for playing a video game.
My dude, you really need to get that problem of yours fixed if you think there's danger in pixels on your screen.
You came into a thread with a vast conspiracy about the dangers posed by cheaters, when the topic was about a specific event in Apex Legends. You should stop embarrassing yourself.
You're the one who claimed it wasn't safe to play The Finals my dude.
Now you're just gaslighting when we can all see your comment. Get over yourself, you didn't understand the topic, made a fool of yourself, and now you're just trying to get the last word in as if that's going to diminish your embarrassment.
Yes, it's safe to play The Finals. No, Cheaters are not putting you in danger.
