How to handle Glitch/Stun as Heavy?
So a Light Stun/Glitches me. I'm a big, slow target that can't use abilities. They simply backpedal and pistol me down so fast.

Is there a specific tactic or counter to this?

(Shooting back at the Light is hardly an option, since they have teammates that capitalize on your vulnerability.)

If you're caught out in the open alone, and they coordinate with their team to stun you and have them gun you down, then you simply got outplayed. Why should you be able to 1v3 in that situation? Truthfully in that situation the stun gun feels more like something added for style points, as any coordinated team with decent aim could have gunned you down with their primary weapons.

Also, you spotted a unicorn. That's gotta be like the one Light player in this game that actually plays off their team instead of trying to 1v1 a Heavy before getting deleted.

Stun lasts too long,

you cant play around it.
its there to punish bad/risk plays. or to catch you out of position and stop a steal
only things you can do is things before you get stunned. like play around your team and cover avoid going into the open in case your stunned while thinking your safe. dont dive in alone. stay close quarters so if yoou do get stunned you have better chances of just killing the light. and if your with your team you can get instantly revived even if you do die.

and for glitch grenades they be pretty over rated. an aps turret will take them out they are only on lights and can be dealt with the same way as the stun gun but you can actually still aim and shoot.

Oh for sure, I recognize I get outplayed sometimes.

I'm talking when I have a shield up, not necessarily that out in the open, with two medic mediums behind me even and still get wrecked.

I never take a 1v3 my man.

Ideally you don't want to be out in the open as Heavy, but you do have access to the RPG. Whenever I'm in a similar situation, I use that to quickly gain momentum back on our side in the fight. Sometimes it's enough to net the kill, other times they retreat. If you're indoors then simply your primary as Heavy is the king of close quarters combat.

In that situation you're referring to your Mediums should have started shooting as well to ease pressure off of you because even stacked heals won't put a dent in the damage 3 guns on you is going to bring. That's not really your bad, it's just the other team came prepared for that encounter.

Thank you, I'll take this advice to heart as it is well written and maybe I should use indoor cover more. Maybe play a little different.

Can't use the rocket launcher while glitched, but I appreciate the thought!

Can you actually still ADS? I can't remember but I feel like one of them stops you from that. Maybe I just get melted too fast to remember right haha.

But ok, better positioning. I'll try more of that. Still get nuked in hallways though.

It is just a bit too long. Needs to be a tiny bit shorter than lights TTK. Otherwise it's insta death. Not fun.

Exactly, the time that is given to a stunt is 100% guaranteed to kill, assuming the light knows what they are doing and in most cases this game isn't a 1v1.

There are many aspects to this game which are not thought out well and exaggerated, the stun is just one of them.

It is why I barely play, I'll poke around in it, but for example I haven't even touched it yet this month.
