Game causing thermal throttle

This game causes thermal throttling on my CPU, I can render in blender on CPU and have run multiple stress tests for approx 10 hours each but the finals thermal throttles my 13900k any ideas on how to fix?

FPS limit didnt help

This is a hardware problem. If your cooler cant keep your CPU at safe temps while its running even at max then its not the games fault. Sure the game is using CPU more than others but your hardware also needs to be working properly.

Thats curious, the CPU is quite overkill for this game so it seems odd that it would max out. Not sure what stress tests you ran but they might not utilize cores in the same way.

You could look into undervolting the cpu, best case you can just tone down the temps and still keep the same performance or even improve it.

the game is poorly optimised

temps around 74-86c play this game, is taht normal?
