No, they don't, but they could at least pretend to care enough to realize that "ONLY 40k PLAYERS BLAH BLAH" puts this game in the top 20 on Steam. Games that they think are more "alive" literally have less concurrent players. It's bonkers to suggest that 30-40k concurrent players is somehow bad. Or that EVERY GAME doesn't have higher peak numbers at launch than concurrent down the road.
I'd rather the steam discussions than the circle jerk they have over on their discord where everyone poses like they're MLG pros, white knights for the game and pretend everything is fine. There's more twelvies and twitch addicts going "skill issue" and "L take" and whatever other nonsense on the discord too. Not to mention the fact that the devs scrubbed away all ability to give feedback on the game. There's no feedback forms, no dedicated feedback channels, really no proper community interaction and engagement between the devs and us and so on. They've proven since perhaps the closed beta that they have their head in the sand and don't really listen to the players or even play or test their own game. They haven't really tried to foster any sort of halfway decent community either unlike other games and betas that I've participated in.
Finally, you can't ignore the fact that this game is F2P and that almost everything about it has gone after and catered to the lowest common denominator in the gaming market while also explicitly making this game a competitive one (going after the Apex, Valorant, CSGO, CoD Warzone, Overwatch and even Fortnite crowds).
And then there's the fact that the game is filled with a ton of problems and bad design decisions that persist since the betas and has been overrun by hackers. The cherry on top of this cake.
A trash and toxic community filled with knuckle dragging animals, wannabe MLG pros, white knight elitists who think this game is the best thing since sliced bread and class main morons who don't understand anything is to be expected, yet at the same time there's really no other option to express our frustrations and feedback for the game except to vent on here.
Right, but the people who use forums overwhelmingly do it to complain, not to engage socially. Plenty of people disagree with you and currently just playing and having fun instead of visiting the forums.
where are all the player from 200k peak ?
The same place as the peak players for EVERY GAME, playing something else. What game are you aware of that launched and maintained its peak players?
