Aim Assist is for Single Player Games
There should not be aim assist in ANY player versus player FPS games. Especially not on PC. Too many players will choose controller over MnK simply because controller has soft-cheats (aim assist) built in. Same thing happened in Apex.

Aim(bot)assist needs to GO.

if AA is for single player games then why do you pc players use macros to remove recoil completely from weapons?

Not all PC players use cheap tactics or third party software to win.

However, 99.9% of console/controller players use aim assist.

This is apples to oranges.

They already nerfed it, and a mouse is a much superior input device fundamentally. Controllers are useless without aim assist because thumb sticks are next to worthless for aiming. That's why they have aim assist and mouse doesn't.

Cope post.

Ever since Wolfenstein 3D in 1992 (yeah I'm probably older than you) a mouse and keyboard comes natural to me. However I think it's fair for a controller player on console to use aim-assist, hence the crippled input, mark I don't on a PC. Analog controllers are for racing games.

Only in regard to that both The Finals and Fortnite are shooters and aim for a large audience crossplay is needed and your friends-list will be a mix of users. My experience from playing custom tournaments and with friends on a weekly basisis is that the controller aim-assist in Fortnite is very well balanced. Aim-assist isn't a bad thing but widens the audience and you can play with your friends or even kids. Issues only arise if it's too strong or get manipulated, which Fortnite has stayed clear of.

Yes, you are coping. If MnK is so good then use it. If you're on console then your opinion is irrelevant.

I am indeed on console in this game, and I'm saying the people crying about aim assist have no idea how it is to actually use a gamepad. I use both inputs, and mouse is way easier.

Ok, and? Buy a keyboard and mouse, it's supported on modern consoles.
Aim assist should never have existed, it is a worthless handout by game devs for people who are too lazy to switch to decent hardware and instead insist on using controllers which were never intended for competitive shooters.
If you add aim assist to your game, you get what is the modern FPS scene. Look at games like Apex and how bad this issue is there, how divisive it is to the community.

They probably do need some form of AA, but not auto rotation. What they get is far too strong to be fair.

I'm glad to see that you've realized your mistake.

Mouse and sheboard is aim assist on steroids. Please stop this nonsense.
Artuurs Jan 23, 2024 @ 3:25pm
I feel like they should not had maybe nerfed the assist on melee weapons, but otherwise, yeah, aim assist is cheating, like, it borderline is if you had to face that in lets say, gta online, its just... unbeatable.

I have an injury that prevents me from using my ring and pinky finger on my left hand. Am I being lazy by playing a controller too?

They should at least match players with same-inputs, or same settings.

- Controller players ONLY matched with other Controller players.
- M&K players ONLY matched with other M&K players.
or
- Players using aim-assist ONLY matched with others using aim-assist.

That would balance it out much better.

Otherwise NO aim-assist for anyone.
Mixing it up just causes conflict & an unfair-imbalance.

Real-Skilled players DON'T use aim-assist.

I think they should look into an input system like Halo MCC.
