But the turret is weak and easily taken out. Throw goo in front of it or focus on players and stay low until it's safe too shoot at it.

Sure, but that's also true for many other situations. There are ways to counter strategies, and if we fail as a team to even get close the opponents outsmarted us, which isn't the same thing as outright running gunning and eliminating us in a crumbling house. Vice versa it feels like an accomplishment if you can actually relax the last 8 seconds of a cashout since you managed to block the opponents so effectively.
For example you might approach a cashout in suspended structures where the enemies took away all adjacent zip-lines and set multiple gas mines. Consider also that two defenders might still be up there and one on the ground. Will you add a new zip-line, a jumping pad or bring the platform down? If you haven't got the tools there's not much you can do. Maybe you could even back off and let a third team have a go at it first?
