It DOES NOT prevent a PC users from playing with a controller, with other PC users.
Controllers need aim assist to even out the playing field against mouse and keyboard players (and to make it enjoyable even against other controller users).
It has no place in a pc game with crossplay turned off imo.
If controllers and thus aim assist would be exclusive to console vs console or crossplay, there wouldn't be an issue for us pc gamers.
Likewise mouse and keyboard should be blocked out from console matches with crossplay off, then only crossplay matchmaking would potentially have abusers of the system.
Why aim assist even is an option in pc only matches is beyond me.
Players will ALWAYS cheat in ANY game, but in this game and MW2/3 it's incredibly easy to and they could even argue they're "technically" not cheating (i disagree with that tho).
incorrect, if youre on PC using controller, and turn crossplay off, you will only be matched with other controller players, even on console, and wont be matched with MnK players.
Really though, if you want to find out if controller is broken in The Finals, then someone needs to figure out what input the top ranked players are using. There's no flawless way to do this because many people don't stream and a lot are just cheating, but checking the inputs of streamers could help.
