Can't even open the game today

The game worked "fine" with maybe a couple of crashes per gaming session but today I can't even open the game. It immediately says it won't launch because of "maximum simultaneous game instances reached". Been trying to figure this out for two hours without any success. What do I do?? Anyone else have this problem?

I have tried this as well… Compability-mode (both steam and game), lowering settings in game, verify files, run different (game) program-files as admin (those within the game folder) etc etc.

I just launched the game from the discovery file in the local folder and it worked, hope this helps
