Just having it in the background after doing something that requires it and forgetting to close it isn't some horrific moral choice. Any of you people tried playing Warband without some way of speeding up fights you get knocked out in?
The proper thing the anticheat should do is come up with a "operation violation" window, show which process it is that is running, tell the player to terminate the process and then relaunch the game. With the anticheat then terminating the game itself by disconnecting the player from the match immediately.
Its lazy programmers which as to why we have problems today in the world of gaming. I fully agree that cheating is the scummiest thing that anyone can do, But just knowing how some of those offline games are and how frustrating they are for some people.
Tell that to 2K and every NBA game they've ever released.
