I was gona say something but I think I'll just proceed to snicker in the background instead.
thanks anyways my dude
Hope you learned a lesson
However, if it was attached to the game, that's a different story.
That's exactly one of the things they check, background processes... lol
"guys, my little brothers friend hacked into my computer and loaded it full of hax and now I got banned, how can I fix?"
You had cheat engine on, you got banned. rip kid.
You're not wrong, but in order for cheat engine to work, it needs to attach to programs.
If it's not attached, it can't modify things.
Not defending cheating, but OP shouldn't be banned for having a program open that's not doing anything.
If cheat engine can actually cheat your multiplayer game, it is designed HORRIBLY.
One would hope they keep it all server-sided.

That's my thoughts as well, the TOS specifically says USING software. That does leave room for interpretation, but in this context I'd imagine USE as actually messing with files/code. That being said, I did the same thing OP. Was giving myself components in cyberpunk earlier in the day and just forgot I had the program open. It sounds stupid, but it is kinda unusual for them to ban you simply for having the program running. At least, I've never seen it before and that's probably why I didn't even think about it. Submitted a ticket and hoping for the best, I really like this game ;(
I'm also really fond of the game so it's kind of a bummer having it as the first game i ever get banned from like ever (except club pinguin but we dont talk about that)
