Maybe tournaments but this would be really bad for quickplay.
I suppose it would have to be a separate game mode altogether where you lock in your class beforehand, this would make it 100% opt-in and prevent the whole scenario where people fight over classes. Longer queue times are still a possibility so that's a great point, although if people lock in their classes beforehand then it will just search for other people who are not your class fairly quickly? This system might be easier if they get rid of SBMM, which is a whole other conversation tho.
The reason why I brought up this conversation in the first place is because I think there's definitely some team comps that are a little too imbalanced currently, triple Heavy with double shields for example. Even if you use glitch grenades it is super annoying to go up against.
