Cross-play and Controller

I have not researched this but I am going to go on a limb and guess console/troller players have aim assist? I re-read the question, I am so dumb. Of course they do, how else would this be crossplay.

I matched in 4 fights, all console players landed all shots and had impeccable tracking and snapped directly to my neck center mass area, which would impossible in low rank controllers without aim assist.

I had this issue with another game and what I did was I turned off crossplay, got high ELO against players that actually needed to land shots... but the higher I got in ELO, the less players I found because it turned out that high ELO players are were trollers.

I am sensing this is going to be the case here as well, can someone advise? And no, let's not turn this into a discussion of whether Aim Assist is a reasonable compromise when pairing trollers with PC players. Whether people feel it's balanced or not, I do not want to be forced to with assisted trollers once I get high in rank.

Are you trolling? I play on PS5 and consistently watch teams of PC players absolutely dominate on the regular.

There is aim assist, but it doesn't compare to the accuracy of a mouse. And it's actually kind of a negative, because you're right, it snaps to the neck/chest area, and you have to fight against it to land head shots.

You would do well to read my post completely. At the end I specifically say that, regardless of anyone's views on aim assist, I do not want to be compelled to play with aim assist trollers at high ranks if I want to climb high ELOS, that is my question. This is not a "aim assist isn't balanced" post. It is not, and it's never going to be, and those are pretty much known facts not worth discussing.

I read it and disregarded it, because it doesn't matter how you feel about it. The fact is console players are at a disadvantage. The answer to your question is yes. So turn off cross play. It's not rocket science.

i don't know what else to tell you other then you are just a bad player at fps games

instead of complaining, play more and get better

also if it's such an issue, turn off crossplay.
it'll just make the game harder as pc players are way better then console players.

Legal aimbots are allowed now apparently. Lots of them use Cronus Zen now too. I wouldn’t mind cross play, if their aim assist wasn’t like an aimbot snapping and tracking onto people.

You're going to be super mad when you learn that mouse and keyboard is easy to get aim assist with too.

I turn off crossplay, and when this game gets to the point where the top players are all using controllers on PC, I'll probably quit playing, like I did warzone for the same reason. All these scrubs saying controller players are at an disadvantage are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ retarded, controller players literally just need to ADS and the crosshair snaps onto a player and follows them around, yeah totally a disadvantage. Controller players have gotten so used to FPS games aiming for them that they don't want to actually get good using a controller and they rely on aim assist as a crutch and these stupid devs keep over-tuning their aim assist because all the controller players cry because they actually had to aim and get good. I grew up playing shooters on console in the days before aim assist was a thing, you can definitely get good at aiming without having a built in aim-bot. The Finals devs over-tuned the aim assist between the last beta and now and conveniently left it out of the release patch notes. kids are already doing the stupid COD ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ where they just spam jump the whole time they are shooting at you because they don't have to adjust their aim for jumping around while you as a kb/m player have to constantly adjust your aim to follow them.

I think that's what I will do, just play it up to that point when trollers just dominate high
ELO lobbies, but it's unfortunate because I wanted to buy BP or skins to support the game and now I won't.

Happened to Halo Infinite and Apex too. I wonder why this trollers always comes to defend this when the facts are there. I guess devs don't care as long as they get a foundation of console players.

And I agree with you... even if it locks to chest area like the other poster confirmed recoil and moving the stick slightly up every time would get it done.

Fun fact: I turn aim assist off in almost every game that has it. A lot of people I know on console do the same. Try actually playing with a controller, then tell me how good it is to have your crosshair snap to centre mass, and fight you to stay there, while some guy with a mouse is drilling you with headshots.

I don't understand why they give controllers aimbot. Yes, it is aimbot, which is commonly known as "aim assist" to console players. It's very heavy in this game, allowing tracking even up jump pads.

This MF Tom guy seems delusional. Heavy aim assist, like this game has, is well known to be a serious advantage, akin to cheating these days. Unfortunately I doubt the devs will do anything to tone it down.

it will actively lock on and track cloaked players too lol, and I have been killed by dudes when I was hiding in bushes because they just happened to sweep their crosshair passed me and noticed it stop on me.

yeah which is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ honestly, as I said in another thread, people were getting perma-banned in beta for using crosshair overlays since the crosshair in the game floats around the center of the screen but bullets always hit the exact center, but these are hard things to deal with, for example playstation controllers aren't supported natively by windows, or most video games (more are supporting it now though) so you generally need to use a third party app called DS4Windows to use a playstation 4 or 5 controller (which I use when I play pc games with a controller because I prefer the weight and ergos of playstation controllers) and you can apparently set up macros and stuff with DS4Windows to gain an advantage, but if you ban people for using DS4Windows, you're banning a whole selection of players who have no other option if they want to use a ps4/5 controller. Although I heard the game does have macro detection, so maybe it will only ban DS4Windows users if they use macros.
