[Bug] Forced to run on the spot, can't move.

The game has been running buttery smooth for the past couple of days (Around 8 hours of gameplay), I booted it up today and found that every match after no more than 60 seconds, I end up stuck in place, running on the spot, unable to escape with only the option to leave the match or wait for it to finish.

From my testing, here's what i've found:
When you first get glitched, you can still interact with the game otherwise, enemies can see/shoot you, you can shoot back, use gadgets etc. you just cannot move.

When you die, upon respawning, you seem to respawn in the exact same place you died (or so it seems). However although you can still see bullet impacts and the animations for using gadgets, you are no longer able to interact with the environment around you, if you throw a grenade, it will do the animation, the grenade will vanish into the ether and will instantly be restocked. Movement abilities such as the grapple will attach to the environment but will not pull you towards it.

A few times after this has happened and I have respawned, an enemy has killed me and the deathcam has made it clear that I am actually in a completely seperate part of the map suggesting that my perspective has simply been left behind but my body has appeared at respawn.

It does not seem to have anything to do with what gear, class, outfit, gamemode, map or server region you are on. It even happens on the singleplayer practice map.

It seems to be unrelated to movement, It will happen even if you have done nothing but stand still from the moment you spawn in, if you wait a few minutes and try and move, you will be frozen in place.

Seems to be unrelated to connection issues, checked my network as soon as it happened and there was no abnormal activity.

Disabling firewall doesn't help

Trying to run as administrator doesn't help (Although it does seem to cause the game to keep trying to launch additional instances of itself and then fail to launch because there are too many instances open at once, which is interesting.)

Updated windows, video drivers, verified game files, uninstalled, reinstalled all to no avail.

Tried lowering graphics as a hail mary, still no luck.

I've seen a few other articles about this but with very little activity and no solution so I guess it only affects a small number of players. however for those of us who are experiencing it, it completely prevents us from playing the game, it happens consistently within 60 seconds of EVERY match.

I can't think of any other things I can try to fix it, has anyone else experienced this or knows of a fix?

same thing has been happening to me. Nothing i've done has been able to fix it. makes the game upnplayable

Got the same problem. Looks pretty weird, like sth with internet connection, but everything in game is working correctly except my moves. Tried changing DNS server, enabling IPv6, updating windows and drivers, settings in game. Nothing helped

I've been having it intermittently, One day, I hop on and this happens, the next day: buttery smooth. After testing with some friends on while I was having the issue, on their screen, I won't move but I can shoot and use utility items and they will see it, when the team wipes, I will on their screen respawn with them etc. so my guess is that its caused by a brief moment of desync with the server. The server then catches up and still calculates the players position and inputs etc. however I guess the local client (our instance of the game running on our PC) is unable to catch up with the desync properly and doesn't know what to do so it just leaves our perspective behind.

So I think this is probably just a bug and there is nothing we can do on our end except wait for a fix. Speaking of which, an update literally just dropped so we will see if that fixes it.

Edit:
Patch notes from yesterday: "Fixed an issue where players could get stuck without being able to give input" sounds like this is our issue, haven't experienced it so far since the update.

I did as follows:
1. Leave game;
2. Verify Integrity of game files;
3. Restart PC;
4. Set keybinds to default.

After that it was fixed.

turn off vpn? that fixed it for me

I have the same issue, and tried all of the above suggestions before searching here, and I don't have VPN. This happens every game now, last game happened 7 times, its so frustrating , its not my internet connection I have 500mbps and have had no drops in service, I monitored this whilst I was playing to be sure.
