You don't even have to have a 'well placed shot' with a rocket because 90% of the time, it's shot a pointblank, killing the enemy and not the one who shot it too.
Another thing that needs to change.
If you shoot it anywhere near yourself you'll die and your enemy will live.
Aaaand scroll down, and the same guy also just said that RPG can be fired point-blank without killing yourself.
anything to do with light is countered simply with having ears and eyes, hitting your shots is optional because they have such low hp
also if you fire an rpg point blank it will 100% do self damage, if you are a light with a melee weapon and a heavy tries to kill you with an rpg that 320 self damage because you are so close
Learn to see cloakers, just takes practice. This assumes you never played Halo, TF2, Planetside 2, etc. - you'd know how to if that was the case (just saying).
"who isn't even going for the objective" don't be there, wrong place wrong time, that happens in PvP.
Cloak players need to flank you, the cloak runs out through use, they can't fire, wind up a throwing knife, or use equipment while cloaked, it will reveal them once they do.
This is the long version of: just shoot them/don't get assassinated in a bad position.
I've watched too many times where a player runs into a building with an RPG, fires it at someone from 3 ft away and they are completely fine.
But yes, you are right.
My point in all this is that the gameplay is going to need some serious balancing changes. I don't care about the technical aspect. After all, it always needs work, and it's fairly subjective because people experience technical issues differently.
I am solely talking about the gameplay. The best matches I have had are those without the 1-2 shot gimmick cheap playstyles which involve either melee weapons or shotguns.
I am calling it now, it WILL be a problem in the future, 100% guaranteed.
The flamethrower does less dps than pretty much any other weapon, it won't help against melee players.
