Missing Angelscript, what worked for me. (bonus D3DX12 UE5 crash resolution)
Today I played on/helped fix other machines that were having problems.

This is assuming entirely that your machine is clean, meets minimum reqs, doesn't have any heating issues... etc etc. Therese no way anyone knows what else is running on your rig, how up kept it is, how many "weird" places you visit or things you download... there are a lot of variables that can come into play here that without the user mentioning them we cant just guess.

Machine 1: 13900k/4070ti/64 gigs DDR5 at 6800
Machine 2: 12700k/3070ti/32 gigs DDR5 @ 6000

FIRST AND FOREMOST turn Ray tracing to static. "NVidia RTX Global Illumination"

Angelscript crashes are weird and make zero sense. I am not CLAIMING at all this will work for anyone, but these worked for me, on 2 separate machines.

Machine 1: Fixed by lowering the P core multiplier by 1, so on the 13900k from 58 to 57. Problem went away and has played for 4+ hours with zero crashes.

Machine 2: I started messing with ram. The only way I was able to get those to stop on this one was to lower the ram to the CPU IMC rated speeds. (in this case 4800, I was able to push it to 5600 without a problem but started at IMC rated) Yes your machine can run entirely stable at higher speeds than the CPU IMC is rated for, but for some reason, THIS GAME kept crashing until I lowered the ram speeds.

Stupid, I know, it doesn't make sense, I know, just like the stupid controller being connected causing high temps thing... but we aren't here to play "my system runs xxx fine" we are here solving problems for this game. It shouldn't be like this, but so far those are the solutions I personally have used that have worked on machines I personally have touched.

Now if you're having direct x crashes, force a DX 11 start by throwing the following in to launch options.right click the finals in your library, click properties, then under general tab you should see launch options put

-force -d3d11

in the field.

Let us know if any of this works. Don't do anything you aren't comfortable doing, playing the game isn't worth messing with things you aren't sure about or how to change back.

Hope these help someone. Good luck and if something works for you or you find something different that ACTUALLY WORKS for more than a game or two, long term "bandaid" until they fix their stuff, throw it here.

So im kinda a noob when it comes to this and I hope you can help me. I willing to try anything. So I have ddr5 in my motherboard 2x16 @6200mhz. What would you recommend I lower it too. PC specs: I7 12700K and 3060 12gb.

12700k IMC is "rated" at 4800. Drop it to that then creep it up until you start having the issue again.... then drop it back down to where it was working without problem and you'll have found your sweet spot for this "wonderful" game, IF thats the fix that works for you.

Its not ideal.... and dont worry about anything else OTHER than the ram timings.... you could lower voltages and other settings to optimize but since you're new, I would just keep XMP on and use everything it gives but change the DRAM freq (speed) to 4800 to start testing.

If you play with it and it doesnt work, just toss the ram speed back to what it was, call it a day and chalk that attempt up to a L.

Good luck.

If you need more help, google will be your best friend, google your motherboard and the bios settings, and how to change ram speeds, probably a step by step guide somewhere.

So when i go into BIOS I have 2 different XMP tabs. one is just XMP and the other is ddr5 xmp booster. Which one should I choose. Also changed it to 4800 and was in a match for a min and crashed again. I keep getting the MISSING_ANGELSCRIPT_CALLSTACK Discovery.

Its just upsetting because I really enjoy this game and have been having a blast playing it but with all the crashes, its leaving a sour taste in the mouth

If that didnt work for you swap it back and try lowering your multiplier (you will have to google that, its based off mobo. Some have software you can do it in windows, but again, based soley off what mobo you have.

For your 12700k it should be 36, so drop it to 35. when you see P core and E core multiplier options, just drop the P Core. Again, if that doesnt help, change it back when done.

ALSO, I forgot to add this up top and will be editing. Turn DLSS to STATIC in game. I did that on both rigs as well.

I have the dynamic rez set to static but should i also turn dlss off and change it to TSAA?

Ray tracing, not DLSS... Im clearly getting tired. "NVidia RTX Global Illumination"

lol all good. Just wanted to try and see but I went back in to my BIOS and enabled my XMP and ive played 3 games so far and no crash. Maybe that fixed it but only time will tell

-force -d3d11 Does NOT work for me at all. Before or after the patch. I cannot even start the game without this crash. CPU Ryzen 5600X / GPU Radeon 6800XT
