Angelscript is an issue with high end CPU

Potential fixes are trying to boot with -dx11 or underclocking your CPU

I know but I feel that if I'm the user, I shouldn't be the one solving this problem by not being able to use my hardware's full potential.

This is the developers responsibility completely, especially when it's a game released a few days ago.

The best part is that there were no problems during beta. And don't get me wrong, I think it's a good game, but problems like this should be a top priority in my opinion.

I have a 5800x which is not considered a high end cpu and I'm still getting this error...

Underclocking is not a solution. If your pc is stable with other games and now you get errors like this or bluescreens, it's a game issue.

Currently since the last hotfix 1.2.3 there are 2 big issues.

1. The angelscript / out of memory issue.
2. The blue screens.

I have been looking through logs and dumps and I think it has something todo with a mismatch or very strict setting in Easy Anti Cheat. The devs have controls to check for issues through the SDK. So its up to them.

UE5 is the problem, it is an unoptimized experimental mess that causes a ton of crashes because of how young it is. Some settings that UE5 force us to use are very alpha and will cause many setups to crash because they are tuned towards a specific setup. Mix max different hardware together and UE5 has no idea what to make out of it, because it is a trash engine, just like how UE4 also was a bad engine but at least UE4 felt somewhat stable. The only workaround is to either update UE5 or allow us to disable useless settings that UE5 force us to play with. The Finals could skip all fancy graphical options and dx12 because the game looks very basic, allow us to use Dx11 and play with potato graphics.

I apparently have played the game for 2hrs but really that's just how long I been trying to fix this. I'm trying to play on Shadow PC as my actual PC doesn't have enough ram to play it smoothly.

I agree that underclocking is a BS solution when everything else works fine.

Your information about the Easy Anti Cheat being part of the problem is interesting. I'm hoping that if that is the issue, and you as one person were able to track it down, that an entire team should be able to confirm it, nail it down, and fix it in relatively short order. The fact the angelscript issue is not even on their "Known Issues" page makes me nervous though.

I've only got this issue once about an hour ago, but sucked cause it was int he middle of ranked ha. It could be one of them hard to find issues, u never know..
