Ultimately, your key bindings are going to be personal preference, so whatever feels right to you is right.

Generally speaking, I try to reserve my extra mouse buttons for actions in games that still benefit from having character control during use (i.e. doing something where you still want to have movement and strafe control at the same time), since any other keyboard key is going to require you to move a finger from WASD which momentarily compromises movement and control.
